Pop-up restaurants and supper clubs are popping up all
across America, and TIME magazine profiled this trend and LCWA client PopUp
Republic in a Feb. 16 edition story titled, “The Rise of PopUp Chefs.” The feature highlights the continued growth of
these temporary dining venues in the U.S. and includes
several quotes from Jeremy Baras, CEO of PopUp Republic, a Chicago-based social
media marketing firm servicing the pop-up category. The feature also notes
Baras’ inspiration for launching the company when, on a visit to London in
2011, he encountered a pop-up restaurant serving a multi-course gourmet dinner
to patrons on the ferris wheel at The London Eye.
